Rowling, and Susan's treatment is a part of that.Aaron Poundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11747596648152141394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3304302673132222419.post-52707368071787495842014-03-04T12:40:38.812-05:002014-03-04T12:40:38.812-05:00Interesting take!

His treatment of Susan in the Chronicles of Narnia is a small piece of evidence that supports this criticism.Aaron Poundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11747596648152141394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3304302673132222419.post-34133844638873619712014-03-02T11:05:56.249-05:002014-03-02T11:05:56.249-05:00I haven't read all the Narnia books yet, but I...I haven't read all the Narnia books yet, but I agree. But that just makes the exclusion of Susan worse, not better. The fact that she is dropped is not in itself the problem. The fact that she is dropped because she has the normal interests of a normal teenage girl is the problem.Aaron Poundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11747596648152141394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3304302673132222419.post-14410946333318311272014-03-01T10:09:52.979-05:002014-03-01T10:09:52.979-05:00@Laura Agnella: The thing that sticks out about Su...@Laura Agnella: The thing that sticks out about Susan's absence is that Peter, who is older than she is, does come back, because apparently boys can grow up into teenagers without falling from grace.Aaron Poundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11747596648152141394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3304302673132222419.post-35891719537538314172014-03-01T10:07:37.761-05:002014-03-01T10:07:37.761-05:00@Feli: The movie of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader...@Feli: The movie of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader alludes to Susan's alienation from Narnia when Lucy is tempted and imagines herself as her older sister.Aaron Poundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11747596648152141394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3304302673132222419.post-40456069789877581132014-03-01T08:23:25.568-05:002014-03-01T08:23:25.568-05:00"fight for - Aslan/serve - God""fight for - Aslan/serve - God"Hollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10205610087769540666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3304302673132222419.post-20590744320581472722014-03-01T08:22:38.600-05:002014-03-01T08:22:38.600-05:00Hmm....interesting take on this. Some people continue to believe (in Jesus/God - in the book seen as Aslan) and others choose to forget and chase after other things. It was a great picture of how people really live. Not everyone will reach "the Emperor over the Sea" but only those who continue to fight/serve their Creator. Those books are definitely top favorites of mine!! I would hope they would make all of them into movies....sadly I'm not sure that'll every happen.

Old follower.
Holly @ Words Fueled by Love Hollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10205610087769540666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3304302673132222419.post-24510381130581441012014-03-01T07:53:16.427-05:002014-03-01T07:53:16.427-05:00Although I didn't finish the books, I agree. ...Although I didn't finish the books, I agree.
