Kate McKinnon is an American comedienne and actress best known for being a regular cast member on Saturday Night Live and her performance as Dr. Jillian Holtzman in the 2016 movie Ghostbusters. McKinnon is well-known for her many celebrity impressions, most notably of former Secretary of State and Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, and singer Justin Bieber.

McKinnon was the first openly lesbian cast member of Saturday Night Live, a fact that works to make her a better comedienne, and frequently makes her comedy more meaningful. Prior to being cast on SNL, McKinnon was a cast member for all three seasons of the Big Gay Sketch Show. She has been nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards, and has won once.
