Musical Artist - Young, Neil

Neil Young is a Canadian musician with a fifty year career spanning multiple musical genres and dozens of albums. He first came to prominence in the 1960s as part of the band Buffalo Springfield, and then had some solo success before joining the supergroup (at the behest of his former Buffalo Springfield band mate Stephen Stills) Crosby, Stills, Nash  & Young from 1969 through 1971. Following his turn with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, he returned to his solo career and began turning out hits. Despite staking out a successful solo career, Young continued to work with Crosby, Stills, and Nash, sometimes individually, and sometimes reuniting with them as he did for a tour in 1974.

Over his career, Young has turned out memorable song after memorable song, including Old Man, A Man Needs a Maid, Heart of Gold, Southern Man, Alabama, Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black), and Cinnamon Girl. He has won two Grammy awards and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.

Young is also an avid model train aficionado, and before the company filed for bankruptcy and his ownership interest was wiped out, he was a shareholder in the Lionel model train company. He is still on the Board of Directors, and holds several patents for model train related technologies.
