Comments: Kieran Tranter is an Australian legal scholar whose interdisciplinary field of study involves the intersection between law and technology including cloning, stem cell research, and legal ethics. Tranter has taught at the College of Law at the University of Notre Dame Australia, but is now a Senior Lecturer at the Griffith Law School.

Tranter's scholarly work into the field of law and technology has led him to also study and write about science fiction including Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, and the works of a number of science fiction authors. Tranter has contributed to or cowritten several books including Reaffirming Legal Ethics: Taking Stock and New Ideas, Alternative Perspectives on Legal Ethics and the Legal Profession, and The Ethics Project in Legal Education, and has also held editorial positions at the Griffith Law Review: Law Theory Society, Social Security Reporter, and Law, Culture and Humanities
