Musical Monday - A Wave of Reason by Symphony of Science

YouTube user melodysheep has created another excellent autotuned song extolling the wonders of science. This installment is titled Wave of Reason, and focuses on science as a process of reason that is becoming the dominant mode of thought in the world. While I agree that science and reason are the best way of understanding the world that humanity has come up with, I'm not as optimistic as the scientists in the video given the pervasive push to have bullshit like creationism and intelligent design taught to children as if this sort of pseudo-science junk was based on anything remotely resembling reality. Perhaps it is best to view this video as aspirational - a vision of what the world should be like, regardless of whether it actually is like that now.
