It's Friday again, and this means it's time for Follow Friday. There has been a slight change to the format, as now there are two Follow Friday hosts blogs and a single Follow Friday Featured Blogger each week. To join the fun and make now book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:

- Follow the Featured Blogger of the week - Mikayla's Bookshelf.
- Put your Blog name and URL in the Linky thing.
- Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say hi in your comments.
- Follow, follow, follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "Hi".

If we are talking about book series, I have never been particularly fond of the Wheel of Time series, although I've only read the first couple of books. There isn't really a specific reason, other than I found the books to be overly long and a little bit plodding and repetitive. To be honest, I don't really dislike it that much, I'm mostly indifferent to it.
Setting one's sights outside of the realm of books, there is one television series that I really can't stand: Battlestar Galactica. The new series. I still have a fond spot for the campy nature of the old 1978-1979 series. On the other hand, I really don't like the newer series. The miniseries that started it was filled with every war movie cliche that could be packed into its run time, and the series promised big payoffs that fizzled into nothing. What bothered me most about the series was that the writers said they had a plan for the series (the opening credits promised that the "cylons had a plan"), and as the program progressed it became quite clear that they didn't. There is nothing that annoys me more than the promise of a coherent story that turns into nothing more than mush.
