Although the Justice League animated series is not my favorite television show of all time, it does have what may be my favorite opening theme. This is the original theme and opening sequence used in the first two seasons of the show, and not the revamped version used for the final two seasons when the program was renamed Justice League Unlimited.
This opening is perfect in almost every way with the animation highlighting each of the members of the team and showcasing them as archetypes of the super hero genre. Having Superman punch through the wall in time with the music was a brilliant stroke of genius. But what really makes this soar is the music: it is heroic and relentless with soaring horns interlaced with a strong counter melody and all backed by a steady drumbeat that seems to convey both the power and determination of the heroes showcased in the series.
