Musical Artist - Blackwell, Perry

Perry Blackwell is an American actress and singer known for her appearance in the movie Pillow Talk in which she sang the songs Roly Poly Baby, I Need No Atmosphere, and You Lied. As far as I can tell, Blackwell's appearance in Pillow Talk constitutes almost all of her career. She appeared in an uncredited role in the 1964 movie Dead Ringer, but that seems to be the only other picture she had a role in.

Normally when someone has a film career of this sort, I usually find that they were a successful recording artist who was dropped into a movie to perform a singing role, but she does not seem to have had a recording career outside of the movies. Blackwell apparently had a long career as a featured performer in the Parisian Room in Los Angeles, but that doesn't seem to have translated to work either on screen or in the recording studio.
