Sia Furler is an Australian singer, songwriter, and activist. Although she is an enormously popular recording artist in Australia and the United Kingdom, she was not well known in the United States until recently and was probably most familiar to American audiences for her collaboration with French music producer David Guetta on the hit song
Titanium and her breakout album
1000 Forms of Fear featuring the songs
Chandelier,
Big Girls Cry, and
Elastic Heart. In addition to her music, Sia is an activist in many areas, including LGBT rights, as she identifies as being bisexual. She is also a vegetarian and active in PETA, campaigning for "Oscar's Law" to prohibit the factory farming of companion animals.
