Musical Artist - Cooder, Ryland "Ry"

Ry Cooder is the best guitarist that most people have never heard of. He was a session player who performed on many of the Rolling Stones' early albums, and he has worked with dozens of other popular artists including Eric Clapton, John Lee Hooker, Neil Young, and Van Morrison. His musical style is varied - blues, folk, soul, gospel, and rock all feature prominently in his work. His most famous album is the collaborative work featuring an array of traditional Cuban musicians that is titled the Buena Vista Social Club.

Cooder has a cadre of devoted fans and one of them maintains an excellent fan website.
