Andrea Bocelli is an Italian classical tenor best known for such mainstream hits as The Prayer (recorded with Celene Dion) and Time to Say Goodbye (recorded with Sarah Brightman). Born with poor eyesight, Bocelli lost his vision entirely after a football accident when he was twelve. Despite his handicap, Bocelli became one of the most accomplished and popular tenors in modern recording history. Over the course of his almost twenty-five year long career, Bocelli has recorded nearly twenty solo albums and a dozen opera recordings. He has won dozens of awards for his work and been nominated many more times.
