Author - DeCandido, Keith R.A.

DeCandido and Me
at InConJunction 2016
Birth: April 18, 1969.

Death: Still alive and writing reams of licensed fiction.

Comments: Keith R.A. DeCandido is an American science fiction and fantasy author who has probably written licensed fiction in your favorite fiction universe. If he hasn't, there is a decent chance that he will be doing so soon. The many properties that DeCandido has written media tie-in books for include Star Trek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Doctor Who, Supernatural, Andromeda, Farscape, Leverage, Spider-Man, X-Men, Sleepy Hollow, and Stargate SG-1. He has also written fiction related to movies such as Cars and Serenity, as well as role-playing game fiction tied in to Dungeons & Dragons, and video games such as World of Warcraft, StarCraft, and Command & Conquer. DeCandido is a Grandmaster of the International Association of Media Tie-In Writers.

Although he primarily writes licensed fiction, DeCandido is not a one-trick pony, and has written a fair amount of original fiction as well, most notably the Dragon Precinct series. He has also edited a large number of anthologies featuring both licensed and original fiction. At some conventions, DeCandido has teamed up with publisher and editor Ian Randall Strock, and fellow authors Michael A. Ventrella, and Hildy Silverman to act out a live version of the painfully awful story The Eye of Argon. If you find yourself in a position to attend such a performance, it is well-worth your time to attend.

DeCandido has a website named DeCandido.net: The painfully retro web site of author, editor, anthologist, musician, curator, blogger, and all-around hoopy frood, Keith R.A. DeCandido. He can also be found on Facebook and Twitter.
