Death: Still alive and married to Melanie Tem.
Comments: Steve Rasnic Tem was born in Virginia. Unfortunately, he chose to go to the wrong schools in the state, attending Virginia Tech and Virginia Commonwealth University, which means that as a Cavalier I have to feel bad for him. On the other hand, he lives in Colorado, makes his living writing science fiction, and is married to another science fiction author, so I don't feel that bad for him for his poor choice of educational institutions.
All kidding aside, Tem is a brilliant author, and has a World Fantasy Award to prove it. He and his wife share a website named Melanie Tem/Steve Rasnic Tem.
