Comments: Ursula Vernon is an American author and artist best known for her Hugo and Mythopoeic Award-winning webcomic Digger about an anthropomorphic wombat. She has also written several children's books, most notably the multi-volume Dragonbreath series. In 2015, Vernon received the Nebula Award for her short story Jackalope Wives.
Vernon sometimes writes under the pen name T. Kingfisher.
Vernon maintains a website named Ursula Vernon, has another site named Red Wombat Studios to support her artistic work, and also writes a blog titled Bark Like a Fish, Dammit! She can also be found on Deviant Art and Twitter.
