Comments: Dave Wolverton is an American science fiction and fantasy author and English professor. He writes science fiction under his own name, and fantasy under the pseudonym David Farland. Wolverton won the Writers of the Future contest in 1987, and has since served as a judge for the contest and the editor for its annual anthology. Wolverton has written numerous science fiction novels, including several novels set in the Star Wars universe. As a fantasy author, he is best known for his Runelords series. He has worked at Brigham Young University as an English professor, and in that position has taught and influenced a collection of science fiction and fantasy authors that includes Brandon Sanderson, Eric Flint, and Stephanie Meyer.
Wolverton has a website to promote his fantasy works named David Farland, and he can also be found on Facebook.
