Death: Still alive and pretending that the Catholic Church is responsible for all the good in the world.
Comments: Thomas E. Woods, Jr. is a libertarian historian who fancies himself an expert in economics. He earned his B.A. from Harvard, and later earned a Ph.D. in history from Columbia. For a time he was a professor of history at Suffolk County Community College, but has since moved on to a position with the Mises Institute. Like his co-author Kevin R.C. Gutzman, he has an extreme originalist view of the Constitution that essentially suggests that every Constitutional decision since John Marshall became Chief Justice has been wrong, a somewhat dubious proposition. Woods is also a Catholic convert, and seems to hold the view that everything he regards as "good" in history is traceable to the Catholic Church, which is also a somewhat dubious proposition.
My reviews of Thomas E. Woods, Jr.'s books:
Who Killed the Constitution?: The Fate of American Liberty from World War I to George W. Bush (with Kevin R.C. Gutzman)
Other books by Thomas E. Woods, Jr. that I have read but not reviewed:
None
