Author - Larsen, Kristine

Birth: May 13, 1963.

Death: Still alive and teaching physics.

Comments: Kristine Larsen is an American astronomer and author. She has a B.A. in physics from Central Connecticut State University and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Connecticut. Larsen is currently a professor at Central Connecticut State University, and has previously taught at both the University of Connecticut and the University of Hartford.

Larsen has also written several books, including books about the mythological dimensions of both Neil Gaiman and Doctor Who, and a biography of Stephen Hawking, as well as an enormous number of published papers, articles, and other works. Larsen is quoted on wikiquotes saying, "[a] theory can never be proven absolutely true, therefore there is no end to scientific endeavor. A true scientific theory is always open to be disproved, and the burden of proof is continually placed on the scientist", which is a brilliant statement. She has a website named simply Dr. Kristine Larsen.
