Death: Still alive and writing short fiction.
Comments: Daniel Hatch is an American science fiction author most known for the numerous pieces of short fiction he has had published in Analog Science Fiction and Fact. He credits reading Danny Dunn and the Weather Machine as a boy with sparking his interest in science fiction. Hatch is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and a graduate of the University of Connecticut. He has worked as a writer for the Connecticut State News Bureau, the New York Times, and the Journal Inquirer.
