Death: Still alive and writing novels, probably with a collaborator.
Comments: Jody Lynn Nye is an American science fiction and fantasy author known for her frequent collaborations and humorous fantasy works. Nye wrote several companion books to Anne McCaffrey's Pern series and Piers Anthony's Xanth series, including The Dragonlover's Guide to Pern and (with Anthony) Piers Anthony's Visual Guide to Xanth. She also cowrote several books in the Pern series with McCaffrey.
Nye is also notable for working with Robert Lynn Asprin on his Myth-Adventures series, co-writing several books in the series with him and taking over writing the series after Asprin's death. In addition to her collaborative work, Nye has written several solo novels including the Imperium series, the Dreamland series, and the Taylor's Ark series, as well as dozens of works of short fiction.
