Comments: N.K. Jemison is a speculative fiction writer. She earned a B.S. in psychology from Tulane University, and an M.Ed. from the University of Maryland. She has been nominated for the Hugo Award twice, the Nebula Award twice, and the World Fantasy Award once.
She is most famous for her Hugo and Nebula-nominated novel The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms which won the Locus Award for Best First Novel, but I ran across her writing in the book Geek Wisdom.
