Comments: Richard A. Lovett is a prolific science fiction author and science commentator who is a frequent contributor to Analog Science Fiction and Fact. He holds a B.A. in astrophysics from Michigan State University and a J.D. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan. He is one of the most frequent contributors to Analog, having appeared in the magazine more than one hundred times. His insightful science fact articles have been honored numerous times, winning the reader's choice "AnLab" award eight times, the most of any writer.

Lovett is also an avid runner, and is the coach of the Portland, Oregon based running club Team Red Lizard. In this capacity he has coached many runners, including two women who qualified to compete for the 2012 Olympic marathon team. He maintains the self-named website Richard A. Lovett, and you can follow him on twitter under his handle @Rick_Lovett.
