Book Blogger Hop February 27th - March 5th: Aleister Crowley Created Thelema, Which Uses 93 as Shorthand for Its Law

Book Blogger Hop

Jen at Crazy for Books restarted her weekly Book Blogger Hop to help book bloggers connect with one another, but then couldn't continue, so she handed the hosting responsibilities off to Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. The only requirements to participate in the Hop are to write and link a post answering the weekly question and then visit other blogs that are also participating to see if you like their blog and would like to follow them.

This week Billy asks: Do you like blog headers that are bookish or blog headers that are simply attractive?

I pay almost no attention at all to blog headers. I know, I'm terrible for ignoring all the hard work and creativity that people put into making their blogs look nice, but I usually go right past a blog's header without really giving it much notice.

  1. Hahah I don't think many people really notice the headers but I try to make it beautiful, just in case. But, I don't think it really matters because ultimately, it's the content that makes readers come back and not the general prettiness of the blog. :)

    1. @Azee M: I do notice one type of headers - really bad ones. There's a level of quality below which a header design will draw my attention. Once a header reaches the "acceptable" plateau however, a really incredible one won't make me look more than a merely adequate one.

  3. Headers don't really matter to me but it is nice seeing something that shows the bloggers personality. It's the content of the blog that matters most.

    Have a great week!

    1. @Kathy A: There is a case to be made for good design enhancing content, but I agree - you have to start with good content or your design doesn't matter at all.

  4. Though I love beautiful headers, it's still the content that really matters. :)
