Book Blogger Hop August 10th - August 16th: Hercules Endured Twelve Labors

Book Blogger Hop

Jen at Crazy for Books has restarted her weekly Book Blogger Hop to help book bloggers connect with one another. The only requirements to participate in the Hop are to write and link a post answering the weekly question and then visit other blogs that are also participating to see if you like their blog and would like to follow them. A complete explanation of the history and the rules of the Hop can be found here.

This week Jen asks: Who is your go-to author when you are in a reading rut?

For many years I would have said Heinlein, but I've read almost everything he's written, so I think I have kind of tapped that well dry. Instead, I'll say Poul Anderson, Ursula K. LeGuin, and C.J. Cherryh. I have yet to read one of their books that wasn't both enjoyable and thought provoking.

  1. You have an interesting reading list.I’m glad I dropped by from BBH. I’m your newest follower.
    My Blog

  2. I agree with you. I rarely re-read books, so my "go-to" authors are those whom I love, but who still have books I haven't read yet, if that makes any sense.

    Happy Hopping!

  3. Interesting authors...have never heard of them.

    Love this weekly meme.

Stop by to see my response if you like.

    Silver's Reviews

  4. @Shanae Branham: Thank you. I'm hoping to have some reviews of their books up in the reasonably near future.

  5. @Susan: Exactly. I trust some authors to deliver good books, so I keep going back to their oeuvre to find new things to read.

  6. @Elizabeth: Ursula K. LeGuin is one of the authors I usually recommend to people who are interested in science fiction but have not read much in the genre. She also wrote the Earthsea books, which is one of my favorite fantasy series.
