Author - Torgersen, Brad R.

Birth: April 6, 1974.

Death: Still alive and complaining about how hard it is to be a Mormon.

Comments: Brad R. Torgersen is an American science fiction author whose fiction can mostly be categorized in the "military science fiction" subgenre. Prior to embarking on his writing career, Torgersen attended Seattle Central Community College and served in the U.S. Army as a Warrant Officer. Torgersen won the Writers of the Future contest in 2009, and his writing has since garnered one Hugo nomination, one Campbell nomination, and a Nebula nomination.

In 2014, Torgersen participated in the "Sad Puppy" campaign and got put on the Hugo ballot two more times, although since it was part of the block voting efforts of the Puppy campaign, it was not an award for his writing on its own merits. His stories did quite poorly in the final voting. Not content with being on the Sad Puppy ballot in 2014, Torgersen took the helm from Corriea and spearheaded the Puppy efforts in 2015, proving that he is both dim-witted, thin-skinned, and willing to spew out quite a bit of vitriol, such as:
Nielsen-Haydens, your fellow travelers, and media goombahs . . . I MOCK YOU! I MOCK YOUR ASININE INCESTUOUS CLUSTERFUCKED LITTLE CULTURE OF DOCTRINAIRE PROGRESSOSEXUAL MEDIOCRITY MASKED AS SUPERIORITY! You are all dolts. You are moral and physical cowards. You are without ethics, without scruples, and if you weren’t so patently pathetic, I’d say you might be dangerous.

Fuck you. Fuck you all. The forces of the progressive pink and poofy Xerxes were met at the Hugo Hot Gates, and repelled by a few brave dudes and dudettes with the stones to stand up to your bullshit.
Despite his willingness to scream, rant, and throw insults at his perceived enemies in response to even the slightest criticism, Torgersen maintains he is the "nice one". The reality is that he is a whiny child throwing a temper tantrum.

Torgersen has a website named Brad Torgersen, and writes a blog, also named Brad Torgersen. He can also be found on Facebook.
