Comments: Chelsea Cain is an American author and columnist. After growing up in a hippie commune as a child, she earned a B.A. from the University of California at Irvine and an M.A. from the University of Iowa. While a student at the University of Iowa she wrote a weekly column for The Daily Iowan, and has also written columns for The Portland Mercury and the Oregonian. Her first published book was Dharma Girl, a memoir about growing up in a commune. Since then she has published several novels, mostly in the humor or thriller genres.
