Comments: Kate Elliott is the pen name of American fantasy and science fiction author Alis A. Rasmussen. Elliott attended Mills College, and then published four novels under her real name, which were well thought of, but not commercially successful. After adopting the pen name Kate Elliott, she produced much more successful novels, and has been publishing under that name ever since. She is probably best known for her Crown of Thorns series, and her Novels of the Jaran series. During the course of her career, her work has been nominated for the Nebula Award, Norton Award, World Fantasy Award, and Locus Award.
Elliott has a website named Kate Elliott. She also has two blogs on LiveJournal titled I Make Up Words and But Enough About Me! How Do You Like My Dress? Elliott can also be found on Twitter.
