Comments: David Gerrold is an American science fiction author best known for writing the classic Star Trek episode The Trouble With Tribbles. Gerrold has an extensive television writing career, providing scripts for shows such as Star Trek:The Animated Series, Land of the Lost, Babylon 5, and The Twilight Zone. In addition to creating Tribbles for Star Trek, Gerrold also created the Sleestack race for the Land of the Lost television series.

Gerrold also has an extensive career as an author of written science fiction, with his most prominent works being the Star Wolf series and the War Against the Chtorr series. His novels When H.A.R.L.I.E. Was One and The Man Who Folded Himself were both nominated for both the Hugo and Nebula Awards, and his novelette The Martian Child won both awards. Over the course of his fifty year writing career, Gerrold has published dozens of novels and hundreds of works of shorter fiction.
