Comments: Tim Powers is an American science fiction and fantasy author best known for writing "secret history" stories. Powers has a degree in English from Cal State Fullerton and teaches writing at the Orange County High school for the Arts and Chapman University. Over the course of his career, Powers has published several novels, including Last Call, The Anubis Gates, and Declare as well as a number of works of shorter fiction. For his work, Powers has won two Philip K. Dick Awards, three World Fantasy Awards, four Locus Awards, and a Mythopoeic Award.
