Author - Rentz, Pamela

Birth: 1963.

Death: Still alive and working as an advocate for Indian Tribes.

Comments: Pamela Rentz is a Native American science fiction author and paralegal. She attended the University of California at Santa Barbara, and earned her paralegal certificate from the UCLA extension. Rentz is a member of the Karuk tribe, and works with Indian Tribes and Tribal organizations in her day job.

Rentz attended the Clarion West writers' workshop in 2008. In her fiction, she often features Native American characters, but places them in roles in which most readers haven't seen them before, eschewing the traditional "magical wise spirit Indian" stereotype. She writes a blog named You're Doing It Wrong, and is also on Twitter.
