Author - Gillett, Stephen L.

Birth: I have no idea. I'm pretty sure it happened, but have no further information as to where or when.

Death: Still alive and writing about nanotechnology.

Comments: Stephen L. Gillett is an American geologist, science writer, and science fiction author. He holds a B.S. in geology from CalTech, and a Ph.D. in geology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Professionally, Gillett is best known for developing a method of orienting oil drillcore using paleomagnetism, but has subsequently become very interested in nanotechnology, which is the focus of many of his science articles. In addition to his professional publications, and his popular science articles, Gillett is also a science fiction author, with several works of short fiction to his credit. Gillett frequently publishes his fiction work under the pseudonyms Steven Gillett or Lee Goodloe.
