Comments: Seanan McGuire, who also writes under the name Mira Grant, is an American fantasy, science fiction, and horror writer. She is best known for her urban fantasy stories featuring October Daye, and her bio-terror zombie stories from the Newsflesh series. McGuire won the Campbell Award for Best New Writer in 2010, and won a Hugo Award in 2012 and another in 2013 as a member of the SF Squeecast podcast. McGuire has also been nominated for the Hugo Award multiple times for her fiction. She also loves Halloween and has an almost disturbing affection for reptiles.
McGuire has a website named Seanan McGuire, and a tumblr blog title Seanan's Tumblr. She can also be found on Twitter and Facebook.
