Comments: Paul McAuley is a British botanist and science fiction author who is best known for his hard science fiction. McAuley's fiction has been honored several times: He has won the Arthur C. Clarke Award, the Philip K. Dick Award, the Sidewise Award, and the John W. Campbell Award.
