Death: Still alive and writing about the future.
Comments: Alastair Reynolds is a Welsh scientist and science fiction author. He attended Newcastle and St. Andrews, earning a Ph.D. in astronomy and then worked for the European Space Agency. In 2004, he left the ESA to pursue a writing career full-time, and since then has produced several novels and more than fifty works of short fiction. He has won the BSFA Award and the Sideways Award, and has been nominated for the Hugo Award, Clarke Award, Campbell Award, Sturgeon Award, and the Locus Award.
Reynolds has a website named Alastair Reynolds, and another website named Alastair Reynolds - Science and Science Fiction.
