Author - Reed, Robert

Birth: October 9, 1956

Death: Still alive and churning out pages of publishable fiction.

Comments: Robert Reed is an extremely prolific science fiction author with hundreds of published works to his name who has the modest misfortune to share his name with the actor who played Mike Brady on The Brady Bunch. As a result, when one does a Google search on his name, one finds dozens of pages about the other Robert Reed, and you have to look carefully to find the handful of pages that feature the author. This is unfortunate, because this Robert Reed is probably much more deserving of fame than the other one. After all, the other Robert Reed only said words that someone else had written. This Robert Reed is one of the guys who writes the words.

He has written eleven novels and a couple hundred works of short fiction. Reed was born in Nebraska, went to Nebraska Wesleyan University where he earned a B.S. in Biology, and has continued to live and work in Nebraska ever since. He maintains a website to promote his work named Robert Reed: Science Fiction Writer.
