Comments: Mark Clifton was a fairly notable science fiction writer in the 1950s, most famous for his "Bossy" series of short fiction stories and the 1955 Hugo Best Novel Award winner They'd Rather Be Right, also known as The Forever Machine. Because this was a pretty awful book, Clifton's reputation has suffered. That combined with the fact that most of his other output was in the form of short stories that have mostly gone uncollected (and are consequently often hard to find now), has led to Clifton being mostly, fairly or unfairly, forgotten, or dismissed as a hack.
My reviews of Mark Clifton's books:
They'd Rather Be Right (with Frank Riley)
Other books by Mark Clifton that I have read but not reviewed:
None
