Author - Fischer, Eugene

Birth: I don't know.

Death: Still alive and not teaching medicine. Or anthropology. Or auditing the U.S. Air Force.

Comments: Eugene Fischer is a science fiction author who happens to share his name with a German professor of medicine and anthropology who was active during the first half of the twentieth century, as well as numerous other people, including the Inspector General of the U.S. Air Force. These sorts of homonym names often make it difficult to find useful information about the person you are looking for, although in this case, the correct Eugene Fischer has a personal website, which makes things a little easier, as I doubt the German professor, who died in 1967, would have one.

Fischer studied physics at Trinity University, and is currently a graduate student. In addition to his self-named website, Fischer can be found on Google+, Facebook, and Twitter.

  1. I just saw this page pop up in my site's referrer stats, and oh sweet lord that picture. Fun fact: I was actually extremely sick with an as-yet undiagnosed case of Crohn's disease when that was taken, and would spend most of the next year bedridden. I'll happily give you a better one to replace it with, if you're willing.
