Death: Still alive and writing science fiction stories and making science fiction illustrations.

Comments: Meghan Muriel is an American science fiction author and illustrator, and excels at both: She is the only person to have won the Writers of the Future contest and the Illustrators of the Future contest in consecutive years. Muriel has a B.A. in creative writing from the University of New Mexico, and while she was a student she wrote a manuscript of a Legend of Zelda intended to be transformed into a spin off novel. Unfortunately, due to changes in management at Nintendo between when Muriel initially approached them to write spin off fiction and when the manuscript was ready, the novel is, and likely will remain, unpublished.
