Comments: Jerry Oltion is an extraordinarily prolific science fiction author, and is also an inventor. Oltion holds the distinction of having been published in Analog magazine more times than any other author, and has written more than 150 published pieces of fiction. He has won the Nebula Award once, and been nominated for both the Nebula and Hugo multiple times. Oltion is the inventor of the trackball telescope, and invention that he has placed in the public domain.
Oltion sometimes writes under the pen name Ryan Hughes. He has a personal webpage named Jerry Oltion: Science Fiction Writer and Amateur Astronomer.
