Death: April 2, 2002.
Comments: Henry Slesar was an author and television writer who dabbled in science fiction. He is probably most well known for writing for soap operas - serving as a writer for The Edge of Night, Somerset, Search for Tomorrow, and One Life to Live, but he also wrote some episodes of Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock Presents, numerous short stories, and a couple novels.
Slesar won an Edgar Allan Poe award in 1960 for his first novel The Gray Flannel Shroud. He also won an Emmy Award in 1974 as the head writer for The Edge of Night.
