Death: Still alive and teaching psychology.
Comments: Sherry Ginn is a professor of psychology and noted commentator on science fiction literature and television. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in experimental psychology from the University of South Carolina and then completed her post-doctoral work at East Carolina University, and then moved on to teaching there for a time, before leaving to teach at Wingate College. Ginn currently teaches at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.
Ginn has written several books about contemporary science fiction, including one about gender in science fiction titled Our Space, Our Place: Women in the Worlds of Science Fiction Television, and another about Joss Weedon's created worlds titled Power and Control in the Television Worlds of Joss Weedon. Ginn has also coedited a collection of essays about sex in science fiction titled The Sex Is Out of This World, and edited a book about the Farscape television show titled The Worlds of Farscape.
