Comments: Greg Bear is an American science fiction author best known for his novella Blood Music and his novels Darwin's Radio and Darwin's Children. A graduate of San Diego State University, Bear has published dozens of novels, and numerous essays and works of short fiction. His novels generally cover a wide range of "hard science fiction" topics, but he has also written fantasy and horror fiction. Over the course of his career, Bear has won two Hugo Awards, five Nebula Awards, and two Seiun Awards. He has been nominated for a number of other awards, including the Locus Award. the Clarke Award, and the Campbell Award.

Bear has a website titled Greg Bear. He can also be found on Facebook. Bear's wife Astrid is the daughter of science fiction author Poul Anderson.
