Author - Bell, Christopher E.

Birth: I have no idea when, and even less idea where.

Death: Still alive and studying popular culture.

Comments: Christopher E. Bell is an American professor of communications at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He holds a B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado, an M.A. from San Diego State University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder. His focus is on race, class and gender as it is represented in popular culture, specifically comic books, celebrity culture, and reality television.

Bell is the chair of the Southwest/Texas Popular Culture Association's Harry Potter Studies division, and has written a book about how celebrity is created and defined titled American Idolatry: Celebrity, Commodity and Reality Television. He also has a website named Chris Bell Speaks.
