Author - Elmore, Larry

Birth: August 5, 1948.

Death: Still alive and making awesome fantasy illustrations.

Comments: Larry Elmore is one of the most prominent fantasy artists of the last couple decades. After studying art at Western Kentucky University, Elmore served in the U.S. Army for a time, and then worked for the Federal government illustrating training manuals. After a friend introduced him to the Dungeons & Dragons game, Elmore moved to working for TSR as their first professional illustrator. Over the next several years, Elmore illustrated hundreds of TSR products, greatly influencing the look of fantasy through the 1980s, and virtually defining the look of the Dragonlance campaign setting. Elmore also wrote and illustrated the fantasy oriented comic Snarfquest which ran as a regular feature in Dragon magazine for six years from 1983 to 1989.

Elmore has a website named Elmore: Fantasy Artist, and you can find him on Facebook and Twitter.
