Author - Gutzman, Kevin R.C.

Birth: May 20, 1963.

Death: Still alive and railing about how the Supreme Court is wrong.

Comments: Kevin R.C. Gutzman is a historian and Constitutional scholar with views that are decidedly libertarian. He holds a B.A. and J.D. from the University of Texas, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in History from the University of Virginia (making him a fellow Wahoo). He is currently a professor of history at Western Connecticut State University.

Gutzman is very critical of the direction that Constitutional law has evolved in the United States, holding the view that it essentially went off the rails when Marshall was Chief Justice. Pretty much every decision since then has, in Gutzman's opinion, been wrongly decided. Needless to say, this is a fairly idiosyncratic and not widely accepted view.
