Comments: Kij Johnson is the professional name of Katherine Irenae Johnson. She has worked as the managing editor for Tor and TSR (and later Wizards of the Coast when they purchased TSR). She has been the continuity director for the Magic: The Gathering collectible card game and the creative director for the role-playing settings Greyhawk and Forgotten Realms.

Johnson holds a B.A. from St. Olaf College and has written three novels and a large body of short fiction. She has won several awards for her fiction, including three Nebula Awards, a Hugo Award, a World Fantasy Award, and a Sturgeon Award. She serves as associate director for the Gunn Center for the Study of Science Fiction at the University of Kansas.
