Propellerheads was a British band founded in 1995 by Will White and Alex Gifford. The band was best known for recording a cover of
On Her Majesty's Secret Service for the James Bond tribute album
Shaken & Stirred, and for providing the song
Backseat Driver for the soundtrack of the Bond movie
Tomorrow Never Dies. The band also collaborated with Bond music icon Shirley Bassey on the song
History Repeating. Their music has also appeared in the movies
The Matrix,
Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and
Lost in Space, and the trailer for the animated movie
The Incredibles.
The band broke up in 2003.
