Musical Artist - Queen

Queen was a U.K. based rock band that featured Freddy Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon, and Roger Taylor. Formed in 1971, Queen was one of the biggest and most influential bands of their era, with numerous enduring hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody,We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Somebody to Love, Another One Bites the Dust, and dozens of others. They also wrote and performed the sound track Flash Gordon and Highlander. Suffice it to say, Queen is a hugely successful rock band that produced dozens of hits, and is cited by numerous other musical artists as a huge influence upon their style.

Sadly, Freddy Mercury died of AIDS in 1991. During his tenure with Queen, Mercury established himself as one of the premier front men of rock music. After Mercury died the band toured for a bit with Paul Rogers (formerly of Bad Company and Free) as the front man, but even though Rogers is quite a talented artist, it just wasn't Queen any more. The band has an official website named Queen Online.
