Musical Artist - Kansas

Beginning with their self-titled debut album in 1974, Kansas mostly made its mark in the 1970's through the early 1980's with songs like Carry on My Wayward Son, Dust in the Wind, Point of Know Return, and Icarus (Borne on Wings of Steel). The version of the band responsible for this period of popularity had a lineup consisting of Steve Walsh, Robby Steinhardt, Dave Hope, Phil Ehart, Rich Williams, and Kerry Livgren.

After Kansas' successful run in the 1970s, several band members left due to creative differences or conversions to born again Christianity and were replaced by new performers. Members have since joined, left, rejoined, left again, and so on like they were playing a game of hot potato. Because of this membership shuffle of musical chairs the band carries on in name, but they isn't really the same as the one that produced great music back in the leisure suit era. If you want to know what they are up to these days, the band has an official website named Point of Know Return.
