Over the last fifteen years she has published a half-dozen works of short fiction and a handful of essays. She also regularly blogs about dinosaurs, writing, and her travels at Blogging the Mesozoic. To hone her writing skills, Smith has attended the Clarion Writers’ Workshop, Taos Toolbox, Paradise Lost, and Launchpad Astronomy Workshop.
