Comments: James Patrick Kelly is an American science fiction writer. He has a B.A. from Notre Dame, and attended the Clarion Writers Workshop twice. Kelly has since joined the teaching staff at Clarion, and is on the creative writing faculty for the University of Southern Maine. Although he has only written a few novels, Kelly has had a very successful career writing short fiction, winning two Hugo Awards and a Nebula Award.
